Critical Posthuman Mash-ups
This reading group meets Tuesdays at 10am PST every other week (for Spring 2024). The goals of the group are to build understandings of a range of complex perspectives that engage with issues of racism and other structural inequities and apply them to educational settings/research. Currently reading Jackson’s Becoming Human. Past readings include McKittrick’s Dear Science, Weheliye’s Habeas Viscus, and Rosi Braidotti’s The Posthuman and Posthuman Feminism.

In the summer of 2023, we read Braidotti’s Posthuman Feminism. There were 5 groups, which met at 3pm and 6PM EST Tuesdays; and 1, 4, and 8pm EST Wednesdays. Groups discussed 1 chapter per week.
